Synopsis:

When Mr Bingley comes to the neighbourhood bringing with him the distinguished Mr Darcy the residents are astir. Not the least Mrs Bennet, who with five unmarried daughters feels Mr Bingley, who has five thousand a year, must marry one of her girls. Mr Bingley indeed takes and instant liking to Miss Jane Bennet, the eldest of the sisters. But it is the relationship between the second sister, Miss Elizabeth Bennet, and the handsome and even richer Mr Darcy that Austen's Pride And Prejudice is concentrated on.

Elizabeth feels Mr Darcy to be the most proud and disagreeable of men, a man whom could not make her an offer in any way as to tempt her to marry him. Mr Darcy feels Miss Bennet to be from connections so far beneath his own as to not warrant his attentions. Can these two overcome their pride, and their prejudice to find in each other a soulmate with whom they have much in common.
